Research Profile - 学生〜院生時代、関西学院大学加藤知教授のもとで生物物理学(とりわけ熱力学的観点から脂質膜の構造や物性の変化)を学ぶ。 凍結割断電子顕微鏡法や位相差顕微鏡、DSC熱測定、脂質単分子膜(Langmuir-Blodgett
LB法)、小角/広角X線散乱法などを利用した研究に従事する。博士研究員時代は同研究室において、クライオ電子顕微鏡を用いて脂質膜に対する電子線散乱の適応技法の開発に取り組む。
その後、特任助教として大阪大学JST-ERATO脂質活性構造プロジェクトに移る。村田道雄教授のもと、共焦点レーザー顕微鏡(FCS, FRET)などを用いて脂質膜中で生じる相分離(脂質ラフト)に関する研究をおこなう。2015年、九州大学理学研究院生体分析化学研究室助教(松森信明
教授)に着任。 現在は、上記の測定手法を用いて局所麻酔薬が脂質膜に及ぼす影響や、脂質膜の相挙動に関する研究に取り組んでいる。また、新しい測定手法の開発にも着手している。
I started my career as a biophysist, having studied lipid membrane properties and structures. My Ph.D. research, which was carried out under the supervision of Prof. S. Kato (Dept. of Phys., Kwansei-Gakuin Univ.), was the relationship between membrane structures and the phase behavior employing the freeze fracture electron microscopy, calorimetry, Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) method and X-ray diffraction at SPring-8 and KEK-PF. In my postdoctral research, we newly developed the application of electron diffraction to the soft materials. After three years of postdoctoral research in KGU, I moved to JST- ERATO lipid Active structure Project (Dept. of Chem., Osaka Univ.) as specially appointed assistant Prof., where I worked with Prof. M. Murata, especially focusing on the lipid rafts; the phase separation occurred in lipid membranes, using confocal laser microscopy. In 2015, I was promoted to a Assist. Prof. at Kyushu University and, now, I am working on Bioanalytical Chemistry with Prof. N. Matsumori. My current subject is the development of new methodology to analyze the artificial- and bio-membranes in addition the membrane structures and properties.
