2025/12/26 Year-end party

We held a year-end party at Professor Sakai’s favorite restaurant, Ryoshi-goya.

We were able to enjoy and recover from the busy year-end research presentations by enjoying drinks, fresh sashimi, and lively conversations.

In addition, our alumni, Mr. Ura and Ms. Kawamura, also joined us for the occasion!

We will continue to work hard in the coming year!




Dec./14th-19th/2025 Pacifichem2025

Pacifichem 2025 was held in Hawaii, USA. From our laboratory, Mr. Kunikubo, Mr. Tomita, and Mr. Guan presented their research through poster presentations at the conference.

In the symposium on artificial photosynthesis, Professor Sakai, Professor Ozawa, and Professor Yamauchi delivered oral presentations, passionately sharing their latest research achievements.

In addition, we had the opportunity to attend presentations by many distinguished researchers, engage in meaningful discussions, and carefully reflect on our own research.

During breaks between sessions, the participants also enjoyed visiting famous tourist attractions in Hawaii and tasting delicious local cuisine, making the conference a truly fulfilling experience!




2025/12/6 2025 Young Researchers’ Meeting on Coordination Chemistry (Kyushu–Okinawa Branch)

The 2025 Young Researchers’ Meeting on Coordination Chemistry (Kyushu–Okinawa Branch) was held at the Ito Campus of Kyushu University.

Master’s and doctoral students from our laboratory presented their research through poster presentations.

In addition, Mr. Kunikubo gave an oral presentation.

In a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, we had the opportunity to engage in active discussions with faculty members and students from other institutions!




Oct./24th-27th/2025 ACCC10

The 10th Asian Conference on Coordination Chemistry (ACCC10) was held in Hanoi, Vietnam. Graduate students and doctoral students from our laboratory gave oral and poster presentations at the conference.

Through meaningful discussions with international students, which we rarely have in our daily research life, we were able to gain new perspectives and reflect on our own research.

In addition, Mr. Tomita and Ms. Chen received Outstanding Poster Awards. Congratulations!

During the breaks, we also enjoyed exploring famous tourist attractions in Vietnam and tasting delicious local food.




Sep./15th-17th/2025 JSCC-75

The 75th Conference on Coordination Chemistry was held at the Bunkyo Campus of Nagasaki University, where master's students, doctoral students, and postdoctoral researchers from our laboratory gave oral and poster presentations.

Through active discussions with researchers from other universities, we were able to critically reflect on and refine our own research.

In addition, Mr. Shibuya received both the Excellent Poster Award and the Chemistry Dojin Award—congratulations!

During free time at the conference, our members also enjoyed delicious local food while visiting famous sightseeing spots in Nagasaki.




Aug./5th-7th/2025 The 36th symposium on Photochemistry and Photophysics of Coordination Compounds

The 36th Symposium on the Photochemistry of Coordination Compounds was held at the Kochi Princess Hotel, where two doctoral students from our laboratory gave oral and poster presentations.

During their free time at the conference, they also enjoyed visiting famous sightseeing spots in Kochi.




Mar./26th-29th/2025 The 105th CSJ Annual Meeting

The 105rd CSJ Annual Meeting was held at Kansai University. Some Students from our lab made oral and poster presentations in the conference.

We also enjoyed sightseeing and a networking event.

Mr. Kan and Mr. Lee received the Oral Presentation Award. Congratulations!




Mar./25th/2025 Spring Graduation Ceremony

Ph.D. students Mr. Xin and Mr. Kan, master students Mr. Ikeda, Mr. Ura, Mr. Zili, Ms. Kawamura, Ms. Inoue, and Mr. Kunikubo, and bachelor students Mr. Eguchi, Mr. Harada, were awarded their doctorate, master's and bachelor's degrees, respectively.

In addition, Mr. Kunikubo received the Outstanding Achievement Award. Congratulations!
